I am a marine biologist, having recently completed a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, UK (School of GeoSciences), focusing on whale ecology. Previously, I obtained a BA in Natural Science from the University of Cambridge, UK. Currently, I co-direct (and co-founded) Whale Wise, a marine mammal research and conservation charity. I have extensive experience in ecology fieldwork, big data processing, statistical analysis and modelling of ecological data (particularly using R), and writing peer-reviewed publications.
