Profile Summary

I’m a neuroscientist and Associate Professor at Yale, studying health behavior and habit change. At Yale, I lead a research program to develop and test innovative behavior change interventions by studying the underlying neurobiology, designing novel interventions, and testing them in clinical studies. My work uses digital health and neuroimaging methods which are generalizable. This enables my research program to be dynamic, highly collaborative, and responsive to urgent issues in human health and wellbeing. My work includes academic/industry partnerships to explore, design, and test new devices and technologies that target human behavior. Nearly 20 years of experience in human health research has led to my expertise in designing and leading studies to address important problems in different therapeutic areas. I thrive when managing complex projects that involve multidisciplinary collaboration. Key accomplishments include: • Led 23+ funded studies end-to-end, each with 5+ research team members. • Awarded 20+ grants from NIH, FDA, foundations, and universities, with 4+ pending. • Collaborated on numerous additional studies as a research lead or team member. • 50+ publications, 10+ highly cited papers (>100 citations), 2500+ total citations.
