Team Kolabtree has some great news! We’ve upgraded our search facility, making it faster and easier for clients to find freelance scientists and researchers at short notice. Over 20,000 searches are performed on the platform every month. The new search, combined with an updated matching algorithm and enhanced UI, ensures that clients can quickly find what they’re looking for and engage with active, responsive freelancers before making a decision.
Hiren Bhatt, Product Manager at Kolabtree, said, “We have updated our search algorithm to improve relevancy and speed. Our new search is quicker by about 40%, accelerating the hiring process. You can easily add and remove filters, as the profiles now dynamically load on the page. The enhanced filters allow you to narrow down your search so that you can find an expert who fits all your requirements. For example, you can choose to search for only those freelancers who have PhDs and publications for a project requiring that level of expertise.
“As a large number of clients engage with experts directly, we’ve built a system that allows for quicker response rates from freelancers,” continued Bhatt. “However, clients will always have the option to post their project directly on the platform and get help from the Kolabtree team to find freelancers.”
Kolabtree’s 10,000+ global pool of experts are based in over 170 countries, and are experts in a wide range of disciplines ranging from life sciences to data science. The new search allows you to filter by discipline and subject area to find super-specialized freelancers within a particular domain.
For example, you can select “Biotechnology” as a discipline and “Data analysis” as a subject to find biotechnologists who are also skilled at analyzing and interpreting data. Or you could choose “Product Development” as a discipline and “Food Science & Technology” as a subject area to find freelance experts who can help with food product development and recipe formulation. If you’d like to get more specific, you can choose to view biotechnologists who have SPSS, STATA and Python skills as shown below!
